I think it’s because most Dr’s and Nurses understand more about what birthmarks are and the different types that are out there. So I feel less like an outcast when I am around them. Acceptance

One of the most stressful situations a person with a visible birthmark must undertake is preparing for a first time face to face meeting. Whether it’s a job interview, a business meeting, or even a Tinder date, you want to make a decent first impression; and for many of us, we deal with the choice of whether or not we should wear make-up. It’s tough for all of us, but for those that have facial differences such as birthmarks, highly visible moles, large amounts of freckles, or vitiligo, first impressions can be that much more stressful.

I was working in Sales in a well known electronics store, and it was my job to pitch certain sales to in-store customers. This day in particular, I was feelin' real cute. You know when you wear one of your favorite outfits to work, and feel on top of the world? Yeah.., that was me. Open Your Eyes

It’s amazing how much support I can get from my friends and family. Even when I act (in my terms) terrible, they’re always there to still have my back. I think I’ve always taken it for granted. I’m a very lucky person to be saying this. 

Now I’m not writing this to gloat or brag about how wonderful my life is. Trust me, I’ve been through a lot, and will eventually reach each topic in later blogs; but I think it’s just taken a while to fully realize how much support I truly have. 

Today my older sister and I were talking about Birthmark Beauty (we argue on an every other day basis; to the point where we may not speak for days) and she was giving me so many ideas. Ideas about what I can do and how I can do it.
